BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.
Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Aligned Roman numerals, read from outside, IIII- XII - IIII - VIII, with noon gap. I, 1/2, 1/4 and 1/8 hour marks. 8-point compass rose at foot of gnomon, labelled to NE etc. Motto ’TYME FLYES’. Phoenix ornamentation across central area of dial.
