Dial in Buckinghamshire

Probably an early 20th century dial, with the motto ’Ita vita’, the tip of the gnomon now broken. Hour numerals read from outside, IIII - XII - IIII - VIII, divided to 30 and 5 minutes. 8-point compass rose labelled to NE etc. The support is a square sectioned baluster pedestal, the base said to be engraved ’I count only the sunny hours’. The dial is not secured but rests upon another dial plate, registered at SRN 7847.
