BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St James’ Church (2), Hemingford Grey

The dial is on the south-east corner of the nave, above the south aisle. The upright Roman numerals run from 8am to 6pm with XII for noon and IIII for 4pm. The hour lines run from the chapter ring to a rectangle around the gnomon root containing the date MMIV. There are no subdivisions of the hours. The unsupported stainless steel rod gnomon was made by Orbital Fabrications Ltd. Motto, at the top of the dial, ’REMEMBER NOW THY CREATOR’ This is a replacement dial for a similar 18th C dial, from which the delineation was copied.
