BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Essex

The dial is on the rear wall. It has upright Roman numerals VI - XII - IIII - VI, with a split noon and hour lines through the numerals to a semicircle surrounding a half flaming sun at the gnomon root. The motto across top is ’Ye Svnny Tyme’. The dial is canted out on the right hand side by about 10 degrees.
