BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in London (Greater)

The dial is inset into brickwork in a moulded stone surround. It has upright red Arabic numerals 7 - 12 - 6 in the elliptical chapter ring, blue hour lines circling around (but not centred on) the gnomon root, with half-hour dots, and a 10-minute scale in the outer ring. The ecliptic and winter and summer solstices are shown (in black, blue and red). The dial is a memorial to a former mathematics teacher at the school - for the full story, see H James’s Report 9974. Ref BSS Bulletin 34(i) March 2022 pp30-32.
