BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.
Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Many dials look good, as does this vertical cast bronze example with a bird bath beneath It. It is a modern dial dating from 2000 and is in good condition. It declines east and has numerals indicating the time from V to VII but it cannot be relied on since the root of the gnomon, which should be in the middle of the circle at the level of the VI - VI line, is placed well below it. The motto in the arch at the top reads ’I count only the sunny hours’.
