BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Gloucestershire

The gnomon very long, and the angle is too low (40 degrees?) reflected in the hour number range, and the hours run anticlockwise, so this dial was designed for the southern hemisphere. Aligned Roman numerals VI - XII - IIII - VII. 8-point compass star labelled to NE etc. EOT table, hard to read in photo but looks like zero at 1 April. All furniture in relief. Very slender (iron?) pedestal, cast with openwork base. Identical to SRN 6509.
