BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Church of St Martin, Barcheston

This is a most unusual horizontal dial. It is formed from a former cross base by cutting away the top course of stonework to give a wide central gnomon with two horizontal surfaces. Hour lines just visible on the horizontal surfaces, though partially obscured by moss and lichen. Date not known, probably 17/18 century. It measures 750mm wide x 200mm deep. On a buttress to the right of the church porch can be seen five mass dials.
