BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Isle of Wight

The dial is mounted on a square tapering pedestal with square mount stone. 2 step plinth, overall approx 900mm high. 8-point compass star labelled to NE etc. Engraved ’Richd Marsh LONDON’ (raised ’d’ in ’Richd’, long ’s’). Aligned Roman numerals, read from outside, IIII - XII - IIII - VIII, with split noon.
