BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Essex

Dial delineated and made by the owner of The Coach House, Mr Pearson. Upright Roman numerals XI - XII - IIII - VII, reading BST hours. Sunburst around gnomon root with hour lines from sun rays. Half hour marks. Dial mounted in apex of gable-end of building. Declines about S 70 deg W. Gold numerals on black surround. Black hour lines and gold sunburst on white background.
