BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

The Old Meeting House (Congregational Church), Norwich

The Old Meeting House, founded in 1643, is up a narrow alley on Colegate, almost beside the Octagonal Chapel, and the dial is set into the brickwork of the house between the upper and lower front windows. The root of the gnomon is surrounded by a full flaming sun, and on each side across the top is the date ’MDC XCIII’. The hours are VI - XII - IIII - V, aligned to the hour lines, which run from a circle around the sun to a rectangular chapter ring and end in spoon shapes. The half hours are short lines with a spiked spear head at each end. All the furniture appears to be engraved and inlaid with gold leaf, apart from a black and white rectangular chapter ring inside the hour numerals.
