BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Cumbria

No central engraving. EOT in clockwise circle of month tables, read from inside, from Iuly at 6am to Iune at 7pm. Whole minutes at 7-day intervals. Zero at April 16. At the south, ’Lat 54.0[?].5 / ’Marston / WtHAVEN FECIT’, and in the narrow outer border below, ’(17.90)’. Aligned Roman numerals read from insideV - XII - IIII - VII, with noon gap. Hour lines only within chapter ring. Half hour lines with diamond-headed fleur-de-lys. 15 and 5 minute marks. Sturdy 6mm gnomon with full length flanges.
