BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Herbert Street, Pontardawe

Inscribed in English and Welsh ’As you stand on this [top] step your shadow will mark the passage of time’, and ’This sundial was made in 1994 for Pontardawe by Andrew Rowe’. Hour markings (if any) are very unclear. Due to nearby trees on the S side, the dial will almost never get any sunshine on it. AR also designed a sundial on the esplanade at Porthcawl.
