BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Ishmael’s Church, Ferryside

6am to 6pm in upright Arabic numerals, with ’+’ for noon. Hour lines to semi-circle around gnomon root; half and quarter hour markers. At top left two illegible initials followed by ’I B.’; at top right initials ’C. W.’ ’17’ below IB and ’25’ below CW. The vicar in 1725 was David Morgan. The dial is a rectangular stone block above the door of the south porch, supported by four iron cramps; the bottom right hand corner is partially broken away. Substantial iron bar gnomon with simple curved support.
