BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Warwickshire

The dial is on a gable at the rear of the house. It is private, but an oblique view may be had from a chapel car park next door. The dial occupies but a small part of the whole design. Above is a large sun-face. Acanthus and other decorations surround it while to the left and right there are figures representing Day and Night. Motto centrally below, in relief, reads ’I MARK TIME / DOST THOU?’. See Eden & Lloyd p 287. West declining, shows 8am to 6pm in upright Arabic hour numerals. Hour lines through numerals to semicircle around gnomon toe, half and quarter hour lines contained in concentric rectangular frames. Elegant bronze gnomon with scroll support.
