BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Oxfordshire

Direct east and West dials on either side of a single disc of Cumbrian green slate. Gold-plated brass gnomons whose noduses, of crystal inserts, project a spot of light onto the dial face. Small upright Arabic hour numerals and half-hour lines cover 4.30 to 10.30 am (East face) and 1.30 to 8.00 pm (West face). Dec curves for solstices, equinoxes and Celtic festivals of Beltane, Lughnasad, Samhain and Imbolic. Portland stone pedestal 305 square x 1346 tall plus square base 371 sq x 75 tall.
