BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Wingfield Manor (2), South Wingfield

This is possibly the dial shown in the drawing by Hogg. A better picture with a long lens would be appreciated. Ref: Hogg (’A Book of Sundials’, 1914, fp48). Also by Henslow (Ye Sundial Booke, 1914, p194). Henslow shows hour numerals but the more reliable Hogg (from whom Henslow copied) does not. Henslow shows vertical Roman hour numerals in a rectangle, VI - XII - IIII - V.
