BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Surrey

The dial s over the south patio door. Upright Roman hour numerals VIII - XII - IV - VI. 30 and 10 minute marks in narrow border. No noon gap. Nodus a 5mm hole in heart-shaped plate. Noon analemma curve. 7 Zodiac lines with zodiac symbols. Motto in top border ’L ANNI AU’ (50 Golden Years). Date around gnomon root. Declines about 12 deg W of S.
