BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in West Midlands

Cube & platform Medite (exterior grade mdf); pillars are turned oak; dial faces are vinyl overlays; gnomons are iron. On S face: motto ’PRO AVIBUS SOLIS’ (Strictly for the Birds); latitude, date (MMVII). Upright Roman hours VI - XII - IIII - VI with gnomon gap. Full length hour lines; short half hours with inverted heart; quarter hour ticks. E face IIII - XI, in half hours. W face I - IIII - VIII, in half hours. N face IIII - VI am and VI - VIII pm lines as S face; and EoT graph (dial fast at top). The dial is in the back garden. It has provision for a bird seed feeder to hang within the centre of the cube, and a peanut feeder below.
