BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Berkshire

This decorative sundial stands in a hospital garden. It should not be relied on to tell the time as it appears to be a mass-produced type created for a different latitude. The gnomon position is a little inaccurate and its angle quite incorrect for use in England. To the south of the gnomon is what seems to be a perpetual calendar, but the inscriptions, if any, are illegible. The dial is supported by a weathered statue of a kneeling kilted Scottish warrior, holding a shield over his head to fend off an attack. The shield forms the base of the dial.
