BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in London (Greater)

Elterwater light green Cumbrian slate, 20mm thick. Stainless steel rod gnomon with spherical chrome plated brass nodus (12mm dia). Silver hour lines within a blue sky circle, extending into an outer circle containing silver upright Arabic numerals for 8am to 6pm. All enclosed in a diamond border with a gilded sun in the upper corner, silver crescent moon in lower corner and a silver star in left and right corners. Declination curves for the solstices and for the owners’ wedding anniversary which falls very near the spring equinox. Quarter hour divisions indicated by triangular pattern at edge of blue circle. Mounted on rendered brick wall which declines 23.76 deg W of S.
