BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Access restricted to National Trust opening hours. Aligned Roman hour numerals, read from inside, VI - IIII - VI, while noon is marked by a circle containing one of three mounting screws. No hour lines or subdivisions, and gnomon root not on VI - VI line. The centre of the plate, probably cast, has the figure of a cockerel in front of a rising sun with rays, and rope decoration on both sides of the chapter ring. The plate is, unusually, pierced around the sun’s rays and the bird. The dial sits on a plywood circle on the square top of a good circular section stone column with moulding at head and foot and ’bulged’ sides, which itself is on a square base slab. The dial is almost certainly a replacement for an earlier one.
