BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Somerset

The dial is near the south-east corner of the nave. It has aligned Roman hour numerals, read from inside, VI to VI, with noon omitted. It stands, most unusually, on a beautiful polished wooden pedestal, with a square section column, approx 1m high overall on a stone plinth. An engraved plate on the column contains the inscription below reads ’Give God thy heart, thy service and thy gold; The day wears on and time is waxing old.’
