On the South wall of the tower. Hours marked with Roman numerals and 30, 15 and 5 minute marks. The heavy bronze gnomon has a pierced support. The dial which was originally over the South porch, was moved to the tower where it is mounted in a stone frame and pediment in 1904. A motto beneath the dial reads ’LIFE IS BUT A SHADOW’. The dial was a gift of John Addington of Langford Court.
