BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Gloucestershire

Aligned Arabic hour numerals 4am to 8pm, read from outside. No hour lines. W, S, E and W marked, read from outside. No gnomon as such, but normal gnomon position taken by a full 3D sculpture of a cat stretching with one mouse in front and one to each side. Inscribed ’MOLLY’. Low pedestal with square top mount. Memorial dial for pet cat. Purely decorative, incapable of telling the time. Displayed at BSS Conference 2005 by P Nicholson.
