BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.
Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.
Modern semicircular vertical south-east-facing dial on the tower.
The dial has hand-cut and gilded characters and lines on plum slate. The full length hour lines terminate on a small semicircle round the gnomon foot. There are no half hour or finer marks. Arabic hour numerals from 6am to 5pm are aligned with the hour lines. Noon is marked with a cross patty. The motto "TEMPORA MVTANTVR" is across the top of the dial plate, and the date "MMVI" at the bottom.
The dial plate is set into an existing stone-cowled niche, framed with a limestone moulding, on the south-east face of the tower.
The flat strip metal gnomon has a single support strut. Its lower edge is fimbriated (i.e. fringed).
Note that the church is on an unnamed road in the centre of the village.
