BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

The Gothic House, Beccles

This is a replica dial, made after the theft of the original (SRN 6000). Aligned Roman hour numerals, read from inside, IIII - XII - IIII - VIII, with noon gap. Short hour lines through the numerals, and half, quarter, eighth and sixteenth hour divisions. 8 point compass rose at centre with W, S and E noted. Motto "Tempus edax rerum". Engraved "J. Daniels (Sons) - Londini" and "Made after the original by Silas Higgon in 2006". Modern octagonal sectioned plinth and top, with gothic lancet shapes on faces of plinth shaft.
