BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Suffolk

Dial plate of American origin (a gift to the owner). Aligned Roman hour numerals, read from outside, IIII - XII - IIII - VIII, with noon gap. Short hour lines (not through numerals) with half and quarter hour divisions. Outer ring with 30 and 10 minute divisions, the 30 marked with fleur-de-lys. 32-point compass rose at centre. Gnomon fluted and supported with flat scroll work. Nice unusual dial mounted on garden-centre type concrete plinth in front garden.
