BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.
Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.
Arabic hour numerals, read from outside, 4 - 12 - 8, with noon gap. Hour lines within chapter ring only; half, quarter and eighth hour divisions. Sun face at centre of plate. Motto around plate "I only count your sunny hours". Plate bent upwards on northern edge, and gnomon missing. Mounted on square granite plinth. Inscription on plinth to Hay Grant McLean, d 19 November 1921.
