BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Suffolk

The dial is on the lawn to the south-west side. The owner installed it to celebrate his 50th birthday and 24 years of marriage. It has Roman numerals VI - IIII - VI (noon numeral not ascertained), with hour lines and half and quarter divisions. 8 cardinal compass directions are marked, and also various directions, world-wide, associated with the family. The dates of birth of children are on the horizon ring. Engraved: Stutton Hall Latitude North 51 57’ 50", Longitude East 1 05’ 33" Motto at the south "PROPOSITI TENAX" (firm of purpose).
