BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.
Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.
A modern brass horizontal dial 152mm in diameter shows the hours VI - VI with dots to mark the half hours.. In the centre are marked four compass points surrounded by floral decoration. A motto round the S side of the dial reads ’I am silent without the sun.’ The dial stands on a circular section baluster pedestal.
