BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

The Old House, Great Missenden

Four ceramic tiles form this 305mm square vertical south dial. It is dominated by a large gold sun face with the the rod gnomon originating from a point between the nose and the upper lip. It shows the hours VI - XVIII (= 6pm) undivided, in blue with short hour lines extending to the sun face. The numerals VI and XVIII lie below the the level of the gnomon root and the hours are equally spaced. The dial faces approximately SSE. In the bottom right hand corner is a signature which has not been deciphered.
