BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Berkshire

Memorial dial in the grounds of the church. Unfortunately, the gnomon has been badly bent. The brass dial has aligned Roman hour numerals IIII - XII - IIII - VIII, read from outside, with noon gap and 1/2, 1/4 and 1/8 hour marks. 8-point compass rose around gnomon toe marked to NE etc. Decoration of two birds (phoenix?). Plinth commemorates Lena Rachel Mary Timms (1879 - 1932). Note that the church is on the north west edge of Sandhurst, near Trilakes. SRN 5025 in Shaw near Newbury is identical but in much better condition.
