BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.
Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

The dial has Arabic hour numerals on red tile blocks in two rings (outer GMT, 6am to 6pm, inner BST, 5am to 9pm). The central date scale, where you should stand in order that your shadow indicate the time, is also of red tile. There is an 8-point compass rose labelled to NE etc. At the bottom is the motto "Walk in the sun now and always".
The main circle is filled with grey paving blocks.
