BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Bedfordshire

Aligned Roman hour numerals, read from inside, V - XII - IV - VII, with hour lines and half and quarter hour marks. Centre South "GMT / BIDDENHAM / AD 2000" followed by Lat and Long, and motto "TIMES CHANGE AND WE WITH THEM". 8 compass points inscribed around the edge. Also around the edge, distances and directions to Bedford, Cambridge, Greenwich, St Albans, Oxford, Northampton. On the E side of the gnomon, along the style "THE POLE STAR ->"; at the base "D HARBER OXFORDSHIRE MCMXCIX". Stands on ironstone block on circular pyramidical plinth. Stone plate at base commemmotates installation 1st January 2000.
