BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial Cottages, Langford

Dial mounted at first floor level on south facing end of house. Front of house has plaque ’Dial Cottages 1883’. Vertical Roman numerals arranged in a semi-circle VI - XII - IV - VI. Full length hour lines to small flaming sun around gnomon root. Motto above ’TEMPUS FUGIT’. Dial plate is terra-cotta coloured tile or concrete. Bronze gnomon rod has dog-tooth shaped plate, possibly lead sheet wrapped around the gnomon rod. Gnomon set out so root of style incorrectly located.
