BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Reeds Close, Bredon

A vertical dial declining 10° west and showing the hours VII-VI divided into halves and quarters can be seen here. It is said to be made of wood though it appears to have a patina suggesting copper or bronze. There is a sun round the gnomon root. The gnomon rod has a pierced star at its tip suggesting that it might act as a nodus as well as indicating the time but there are no declination lines. Lower down is a brass plate with the inscription which reads ’In tribute to John Hogham who served Reeds Close as Clerk/Trustee 1975’.
