BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Lancashire

Trees in the churchyard now shade this horizontal brass dial. The dial plate features aligned Roman numerals, bases towards the centre, showing times from 4.00 am to 8.00 pm with quarter-hour markings. The sturdy 230 mm gnomon has an integral flat s-shaped support. The bottle-shaped plinth, 1470 mm high, has a square top and base.
