BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Junction Lane, Burscough

This dial from the 1920s is mounted on a house at the western end of Junction Lane, not too far from the railway station at the centre of Burscough. Surrounded by an unusual moulded frame, it declines strongly about 54 degrees to the west, and features sun, moon and stars as well as the motto: ’FUGIT HORA’.
