BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Merseyside

This is a memorial dial, in a Church on the outskirts of Liverpool. The gnomon is missing and the dial itself is not in good condition. An inscription around the rim of the dialplate runs: "In fond memory of Lyn who brought life and laughter to everybody". The name of the maker appears as well as the latitude and a carved graph of the equation of time. The dial rests on a plinth 1000 mm high. There is also a taller, older plinth in the churchyard which could in the past have borne a dial.
