BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Modwen’s Church, Burton on Trent

The dial is on the south wall of nave, near the west end. It is made of Ashford black marble, with a brass or bronze gnomon. "J. Whitehurst fecit" is inscribed across the top of the dial, which is canted slightly to the east "in a classical stone aedicule". It ises Roman numerals, aligned, VI - XII - IIII (?) - VI
