BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Duncannon Fort, Duncannon

Dates 1798 - 1998. Declination line for 26 May, the date when ’the rising’ began in 1798. Roman hours IIII - XII (with noon gap) - VIII, 5, 15 and 30 min intervals marked. Sunburst around gnomon root. On the plinth, the Irish harp and ’Commemorating the people of 1798’; and graphical EOT with instructions, and Lat & Long. Known as the Comoradh sundial, it is in the middle of the parade ground of the Fort. Kilkenny marble. Delineation Owen Deignan, dial & plinth graphics Tania Mosse, brasswork Ted Sweeney.
