BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in London (Greater)

This is a non-functional or ’ornamental’ dial in memory of Field Marshal Lord Milne, 1866 - 1948. The numerals are laid out clock-face fashion, XII at the N, VI at the S. The gnomon is missing. Note: The Garrison Church was bombed in 1944. It was not rebuilt, but the original sundial (probably an armillary sphere) was installed on this circular brick plinth. The RA were moving to Larkhill Camp, Wiltshire, and taking the original dial with them, but it was yet to be installed in April 2007.
