BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Kirtling Towers, Kirtling

This unusual 4-ring armillary sphere lies within a private garden to the south west of Kirtling Towers; it is just visible from the outside, but the gardens are occasionally opened to the public so a closer view would be possible. It stands on a very ornate limestone pedestal carved with four virgins. Kirtling Towers was built as the gatehouse to a large Tudor mansion, now demolished.
