BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Hertfordshire

Motto reads: "Thou by the dial’s shady stealth mayst know time’s thievish progress to eternity". Inscr reads: "Robert Lionel Clarke, 27th October 1983".Shows 5am to 7pm in 30, 15 and 5 min marks. Uses XII and IIII. Numerals read from inside the dial. Noon gap. EoT graph. Scroll ended chapter ring. Sigmoidal gnomon underedge. Set on square section (recon) stone baluster pedestal with square capital and two step plinth.
