BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Seaton Delaval Hall, Seaton

On a path in the gardens. VI - XII - IIII - VII, from inside, divided to half and quarter hours. Inscribed to N of gnomon, read from N, ’...... Da Laval’ [no doubt ’Seaton Da Laval’] but not legible in the photo. Set across the corners of a low square stone pedestal and plinth. Open gnomon with ’S’ under supporter.
