BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

The dial is located to the left of the door and declines 10 degrees east. It shows 6am to 5pm (delineated 5:20-5:20) in half and quarter hours, using XII and IV. The motto reads: ’Maneo Nemini’ (I wait or no-one). There is a strip gnomon with ’S’ supporter. The dialplate has ogee moulding and is supported on the wall by four cleats. Ref: Gatty, who reports it as on Middleton Tyas Hall.
