BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Botolph’s Church, Shenley

Motto along top: ’Tempus Fugit’. Dial shows 7am to 5pm in 30, 15 min divisions. Bar gnomon with scrolled support strut. Square surrounds the gnomon root and contains the date MDCCXL. Surface and markings very worn. Set into flintwork of nave, above priest’s door. Canted out on right hand side, with remains of tile capping above. Church now private redidence.
