BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.
Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Kent
The dial is in the house, not on display. It shows 4am to 8pm in half hours, the numerals read from inside the dial, using XII and IIII. The broad strokes of the numerals have hatching perpendicular to the length. The origin of delineation is in the centre of the plate. The dial plate has a twisted cord border and carries the Garter insignia. The date may be 1578 or 1579. The sheet gnomon has a scalloped back edge and knife edge style. The dial plate has eight hole fixing. It is attached to another octagonal plate and then to a larger (later) circular one. An excellent early dial.
