BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Mary’s Church, Wellhouse

The dial is to the east of the south porch. The motto reads: "Life as this shade doth fly and fade". The dial shows 6am to 6pm in half and quarter hours. The dialplate is cracked and has chamfered upper corners, and is built into the flint wall. Scalloped underedge of strip gnomon with surface mounted vertical fixing. Noted by Gatty. NB Marlston is a hamlet 1km E of Wellhouse.
